Star Home Video releases blockbusters for the holidays

Star Home Video has released three movie blockbusters, a cinematic classic, and a hit horror series on video that every fan should have in his/her collection for the holidays. Starting of the set is My Big Love, the box office favorite that reunited Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga on the movie screens for the third time. Sam plays an overweight chef named Macky who is in love with Nina (Kristine Hermosa) who won’t even give him the time of day. Ira (Toni) encourages him to lose weight to have a better chance to win Nina’s heart, but will Ira be weighed down by falling in love with Macky? Vhong Navarro turns in another superbly comedic performance in Supahpapalicious. Vhong assumes several identities—a la Eddie Murphy—to win the apple of his eye. Also stars Valerie Concepcion and Makisig Morales. The Metro Manila Film Fest 2007 top-grosser and multi-awarded Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo starring real-life couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo rounds out the list of Star Cinema offerings on the list. The critically acclaimed 1982 movie Oro Plata Mata, which traces the changing fortunes of two aristocratic families in Negros during World War II, is a cinematic classic that every movie lover should have in their collection. This award-winning film starring Sandy Andolong, Cherie Gil, Joel Torre, Mitch Valdez, and Orestes Ojeda is now part of Star Home Video’s Obra Maestra Collection, following the debut of Nora Aunor's Himala in the same category. The horror TV series Maligno is the second of three installments of the Sineserye Presents: The Susan Roces Collection. Claudine Barretto—who made her comeback after taking a break to give birth to Rodrigo Santino—portrays Angela, a no-nonsense aggressive reporter who gives birth to the devil's heir. The series also stars Diether Ocampo, Rafael Rossel and the country's hottest love team, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.
