Vhong Navarro confirms breakup with Desiree del Valle

Vhong Navarro had always kept his relationship with Desiree del Valle low key and even now that they have already broken up, he would like it to stay that way. Rumors of the breakup started a few months back, but the multitalented actor finally confirmed it last July 16 in an interview with ABS-CBN.com on the set of Kimmydora: Kambal Sa Kiyeme where he will be doing a cameo. “Kumakalat ba? Umamin na ba kami? Kaya alam mo dapat 8 pm ako talaga dadating kasi5:30 pm kayo nandito,” he joked. “Hindi, basta kami ni Des we’re still friends. Okay kami at yungcommunication namin, text-text,usap-usap. Medyo recently nga hindi naging maganda yung nangyari safamily niya. Yung dad niya namatay so kami yung magkausap. Ako yung tinawagan niya para ibalita. Hanggang dun lang e. Wala e, end of the road na.”

Vhong denied, however, that their breakup had something to do with his pending annulment. It just so happened that their relationship took a backseat as they both took on different priorities, especially when it came to their showbiz careers. “Hindi yun ang dahilan. Sabihin na lang natin na siguro, like ngayon, sobrangbusy siya ngayon. Siguro dapat mag-concentrate muna kami sa mgapriorities namin, ito nga yung pag-arte.Mas maganda naman yun, kasi tulong yan eh. Kumbaga ang iniisip mo trabaho lang, mga friends mo, family... at ganun din naman ako. Actually mutual decision namin yun. Ginawa namin para sa aming dalawa,” he explained.

As a matter of fact, it’s only a matter of time before Vhong’s marriage to Bianca Lapus will finally be annulled. But he preferred to keep mum about the matter for the sake of his son who’s at the losing end of this legal issue. “Actually medyo malapit-lapit na kaya kung saka-sakaling matapos ito, feeling ko hindi rin naman pwede sabihin sa mga tao. Nag-usap kami ni Bianca tungkol dito e. Kumbaga sa ngayon alam naman natin na may kinakasama na si Bianca. Ang mahirap nito, alam nating buo ang family ni Bianca e. Yung anak ko yung, kung medyo titignan mo sa side, medyo siya yung alanganin. So respeto sa anak ko at kay Bianca para huwag na lang pag-usapan at tumahimik na yung issue,” he stressed.

But in spite of this positive development about his petition for annulment, Vhong claimed that he doesn’t want to complicate his life with matters of the heart for now. “Ngayon siguro, sabihin na lang natin na nag-eenjoy muna ako sa mga friends ko. Laro lang ng basketball. Ang date ko boys!” he joked. “Kasama ko mga fellow ASAP stars ko like sina Billy Crawford, John Lloyd Cruz, Jericho Rosales, Rayver Cruz, Christian Bautista… Relax muna sa dating,” he said.
