Talking about his private life especially his broken relationships has never been Vhong Navarro’s style which is why he still keeps mum about the reason behind his break-up with Desiree del Valle. In a recent interview with ABS-CBN.com, he was glad to veer away from such intrigues and updated us instead with his upcoming projects. For starters, the dashing comedian would be doing a cameo role on Kimmy Dora: Kambal Sa Kyeme, for free, just like the other stars who collaborated with the first mainstream movie that Piolo Pascual produced together with Dingdong Dantes and Direk Joyce Bernal.

According to Vhong, he didn’t hesitate to join the film because it has always been his dream to work with its lead star Eugene Domingo. “Waiter ako dito. Sobrang nakakatuwa kasi fan ako ni Uge (as friends and colleagues fondly call Eugene). At the same time makakasama ko nga din yung idol ko, so talagang bakit hindi,” he explained.

Vhong further recalled the one time he shot his scenes in the movie with a number of Kapamilya and Kapuso stars who were also part of the project. There was a raging typhoon that night but they all made the effort to be in their shooting location in Antipolo even without a talent fee to boot. “For free talaga, pakikisama yun e.

When asked about Star Cinema’s plans to pair him up with Angelica Panganiban, Vhong shared that he couldn’t wait to see their chemistry onscreen ever since he realized that Angelica has a great sense of humor apart from being an acclaimed dramatic actress. So ganun na ako katanda no (laughs)? Magkakasama kami sa ASAP and nakikita ko na may other side siya na makulit, may sense of humor, may timing sa pagpapatawa. So parang ang sarap makasama e. Pag kaeksena mo na or off cam ang kulit e. At least masusubukan naman natin yung ibang tandem.”

He was quick to clarify though that it doesn’t mean he already had enough of his team-up with Toni Gonzaga after doing My Only U (2008) and D’ Anothers (2005).
